Wondermesh Insect Net is designed and tested to give the best quality insect net available for Cabbage Root Fly and Carrot Root Fly control. It is constructed from strong Polyethylene which has a life expectancy of 8 - 10 years.

Wondermesh is the most effective measure for the complete control of Cabbage Root Fly. As a physical barrier it offers 99% protection to the crop.

General Application
The net should be placed on the crop pre-emergence and secured in place with either soil or plastic pegs.

The net should not be removed until the CRF has become inactive in the autumn. As it is not an insecticide no Harvest Interval is required.

At the end of the season the net can easily be rolled up and stored for use the following year using our own Wondermesh rolling machine.

The picture here displays how much damage the crop can sustain when not protected by Wondermesh® insect netting. You can see very clearly that the Purple Sprouting Broccoli on the left has been hammered by insect, bird and deer grazing whereas the crop on the right has remained intact, thanks to the protection gained from using Wondermesh® insect netting (WM16).

Even the thread we use in our seams, which is specially made for us, has been developed and tested specifically for the application and to ensure strength.

We have a full International Patent Pending on the method and design we use to seam our nets together. This new method of seaming nets and crop covers is the strongest on the market. It will greatly increase the life of the product by its construction.


The most significant benefit is the notable increase in the saleable tonnes per hectare compared to all other methods available. On average gains of 10% - 15% in tonnes sold should be expected, but in certain field trials we have recorded increases as high as 40%.
